For some time now I have been looking at how to incorporate the evolving nature of performance materials both in clothing and footwear into belt design. After quite a bit of experimentation I came up with this new design of belt made in performance polyester/nylon based fabric. My thinking is that although leather is a wonderfully versatile material, there are nevertheless occasions when its properties are maybe not ideal or perhaps moments when its look is not quite right. Our new woven Panther weave fabric in this Silver Grey tone with its black tinges is both lightweight, flexible, splash proof and even when soaked in water can be dried out to be good as new again. We love the idea of wearing this belt with shorts, or for occasions when activewear is the way to go. But slip it into a pair of jeans or khakis at the end of the day and you have a really great distinctive casual belt. To take this concept to fulfilment we have used a special rubber coated material around the buckle holes and for the loops and used a specialized colour matched rubber coating on the buckle to really finish off the performance feel of the belt.
